This year the Committee for Education and Cultural Activities of the International Council of Museums will hold its annual conference in Athens, addressing the theme: “Delicate topics, challenging audiences”.
The Conference will focus on museum education activities that:
- attempt to discuss complex and sensitive topics
- try to shed light on unknown aspects of cultural heritage and misinterpreted historical events
- aim at attracting new audiences or welcoming historically marginalized groups.

On Wednesday 20 November, Dr Foteini Venieri will attend the Awards Presentation and Ceremony to take the stage alongside Vassiliki Polyzoi – Director of the Museum of Musical Instruments, Centre for Ethnomusicology Fivos Anoyanakis – as she accepts a Best Practice Award for the online live museum theatre programme that we designed and implemented with her museum. “In the footsteps of Vagelis Soukas” was delivered in partnership with Museotek and addressed to Roma students throughout Greece.
