… from the medieval castle of Kimolos.
This project used museum theater methodologies to research 20th century impressions and understandings of local history. The interactive, promenade performance – presented during two consecutive editions of the Kimolos ‘Art Walk’ Festival – used 1st and 3rd person live interpretation to present multiple narratives and engage visitors both with the built heritage surroundings, their various historical uses and the ways in which the space has been understood and interpreted over time.
The project’s methodology was presented at the annual Greek ICOM CECA conference in 2017.
Funders / Partners: In collaboration with the ‘Art Walk’ cultural festival, the Municipality of Kimolos, and with the support of the Afentakis Foundation.
